Gas Safety Tips
Follow these safety guidelines to prevent accidents when handling LPG cylinders.
- Store upright: Always keep cylinders upright and on a stable surface.
- Ventilation: Keep areas well ventilated — do not store cylinders in basements or enclosed rooms.
- Check seals: Inspect valve seals and connections before use.
- Turn off when not in use: Always switch off the regulator after cooking.
- Don’t tamper: Never try to repair or modify a cylinder or valve.
- Emergency: If you smell gas, open windows, avoid switches and spark sources, and call emergency services + your supplier immediately.
